James "Jimmy" Alan Walker
Jimmy, a lifetime resident of Panama City, FL, passed this life to eternal life in Heaven on February 11th, 2009. As owner and operator of Walker Cabinets, Inc., Jimmy developed his business from its humble beginnings in 1982. Jimmy was a master of many different trades and always enjoyed sharing his knowledge with others. Jimmy enjoyed many different hobbies and served as President of the Miracle Strip RC Modelers Club for several years. As an avid outdoorsman, Jimmy frequented the woods and waters of The Panhandle. Jimmy always enjoyed being surrounded by his family and showed tremendous love for his wife of 36 years as well as his children and grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Nona Carr, his father, Lester "Buck" Walker and his sister, Helen Ann Walker.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Walker, his children, Luke and wife Ashley Walker of Grantville, GA; Iris and husband Andrew Adkison of Auburndale, FL, his grandchild, Lynleigh Walker of Grantville, GA, mother-In-Law, Jackie Jones, stepfather, Horace M. Carr of Panama City, FL, brothers and sisters: Becky and Husband Mike Brashear of Warner Robins, GA; Frank and wife Olga Walker of Fort Walton Beach, FL;
JoAnne and Husband Alan Miller of Panama City, FL; Mickey and wife Pat Carr of Panama City, FL, Carolyn and husband David Smith of Panama City, FL, Libbie and husband Danny Pippin of Panama City, FL, Bill Carr of Panama City, FL,
Bucky Walker of Panama City, FL; sisters-in-law: Donna and husband Bill Woodis of Panama City, FL; Debbie and husband Paul Maxwell of Panama City, FL.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday in the First Baptist Church of Panama City with Rev. Clyde Ellison officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 – 8 p.m. on Friday. Active pallbearers are Mike Brashear, Bill Woodis, Allen Miller, Jim Corry, Mickey Carr and Bill Carr. Those desiring may make memorial donations to Covenant Hospice, 107 W 19th Street, Panama City, FL 32405 in memory of Jimmy Walker.
