James H. Suggs

In loving memory of our husband, father, James H. Suggs, who went to be with the Lord on January 11, 2014. He was born in Harpersville, Alabama on May 18, 1924. He was preceded in death by his parents, W.B. & Audrey Suggs. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Ruth Elaine Suggs; four daughters, Vivian Glenn, Rebecca Mullins, Deborah Bradley, all of Panama City Beach; Jamie Deer (Andy) of Fairhope, AL, nine grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, family members and friends. He was originally from Pleasant Grove, Alabama and has resided in Panama City Beach for the past 28 years. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He and his wife loved square dancing and ballroom dancing. His main love was his service to his Lord. He was a member of the Woodlawn United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 5 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3-5 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to Covenant Hospice, 107 W. 19th St., Panama City, FL 32405. The family wishes to express deep appreciation to Dr. William Dent, Dr. Gurprit Sekhon and the entire staff of Covenant Hospice.
