JAMES EZRA "JIMMY" SHEHANS

James Ezra "Jimmy" Shehans, 90, of Cedar Grove, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at his home. He was born in Frisco City, Alabama and was a resident of Cedar Grove since 1949. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mattie Bell Shehans, sons, Earl Walsh, Edward Walsh, George Walsh and D.E. "Dink" Walsh and his grandsons, Chris Shehans and Jerry Walsh. He is survived by his daughter, Sue Parker and her husband Jerry, of Cedar Grove, son, Charles H. Walsh and wife Mary S., of Panama City Beach, daughters-in-law, Betty Jean Walsh, Betty Walsh, Frances Walsh and Lillian Walsh, grandchildren, Brandi (Rick) Jones, Diane (Rick) Reinstatler, Roger Walsh, Brian Walsh, Ron (Lois) Walsh, Glynda Whitford, Chuck (Sherry) Walsh, Nina (Mark) Godwin, Ben Walsh, Laura Leigh (Michael) Kimball, Kathryn (Lyle) Hammac, David Walsh, Chance (Shannon) Walsh, Donnie Walsh, Donna Walsh, Janet Walsh, Lynn Walsh, 30 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren, brother, Bud Shehan and sister, Ouida Roberson. Jimmy and Mattie were founders and owners of the Dutch Girl, White Circle Night Club in Cedar Grove, Cedar Grove Liquor Stores #1 and #2 and Cedar Grove Farm and Garden. Jimmy proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps (Air Force) and proudly served as commissioner for Cedar Grove. In his later years, he received Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Phil Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6 – 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Covenant Hospice, 107 W 19th Street, Panama City, FL 32405.
