James Francis Rodgers, 87, of Parker, died Friday, April 25, 2008 in his home. He was born May 22, 1920 to Grover and Ada Atkinson Rodgers. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a retired superintendent for Georgia Kraft Company in Macon, Georgia. He was a board member for the Source of Light Mission in Madison, Georgia. After retirement, he moved back to Panama City in 1981. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Panama City, where he was a member of the Ed Grant Sunday School Class and was also a Deacon Emeritus. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Estelle Harvey Rodgers of Parker, son, David Rodgers and wife Jacinda of Palm Bay, Florida, 2 grandchildren, Jason Rodgers of Miami and Marcia Lovegren and husband Chris of Rapid City, South Dakota, 3 great grandchildren, Anthony Lovegren, Caitlyn Lovegren, Makayla Lovegren, brother, William A. Rodgers and wife Jamie of Cookville, Tennessee. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clyde Ellison officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
