James Joseph Riley, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2022. He was born on July 22, 1947 in Manchester, New Hampshire but was raised in Miami, FL. He was a Veteran serving in the United States Air Force as a Missile Facilities Specialist in Germany. He graduated Cum Laude from the University of Miami. He worked for Exxon for 15 years as an Accountant and worked in Atlanta, GA for 25 years with several Real Estate Entrepreneurs as a CFO and CPA. He moved to Panama City, FL in 2012 where he worked at Gulf Coast State College with the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and the Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC). He won third place in the Funniest Accountants in the SE competition, he loved to walk and he was an avid reader. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Dolores Gray Riley; Children, Michaelle Riley of Atlanta, GA, Katie Riley of Panama City, FL, Michael Riley (Brandy) of Soddy Daisy, TN; one grandson, Coltrane Michael Riley; three siblings, Michael Riley of Portland, OR, John Riley of Atlanta, GA, and Jill Arola (Bob) of Lafayette, CO; two nieces, Jennifer Conley (Kris) of White Plains, NY and Amy Kelter Vancouver, WA. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 10 th at 2 PM in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Save the Rhino, www.savetherhinoinc.com in memory of James Riley.
