JAMES CAROL PHILLIPS
James Carol Phillips, 71, of Panama City, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2009 in his home. He was born September 9, 1937 in Craven County, North Carolina. He spent 20 years in the U.S. Air Force and 18 years in the civil service as a firefighter. He was a member of St. Dominic's Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bruton and Carrie Phillips, daughter, Wendy Duncan, and two sisters, Brenda Phillips and Peggy Lewis. He is survived by his wife, Joan Phillips; four sons, James Phillips, Jr. and wife Becky, Malcolm Duncan and wife, Wanda, Joe Ciccarelli and wife, Sandy, George Mallory and wife, Tammy; daughter, Vicki Ziegler; grandchildren, Damon Phillips, Alex and Liz Ciccarelli, Nicki and Rusty Simmons, Brandon and Andrew Mallory; two brothers, Jerry Phillips, Gene Phillips and wife, Peggy; sister, Rochelle Walston; special nieces, Joyce MacDonald and husband, Terry, Kendra Beaulieu and husband, Steve; special nephew, Richard Heffernan and wife, Claire and several other nieces and nephews. A celebration of his life will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at St. Dominic's Catholic Church.
