RUSSELL PARMER
James "Russell" Parmer, 49, of Southport, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2010. He was born May 20, 1960 in Donalsonville, GA. Russell grew up in Marianna, Florida, where he graduated from Marianna High School. Russell loved his wife, his Harley and his family. He was currently employed by R.W.L. He was preceded in death by his mother, Levora Parmer and mother-in-law, Lavina George. He is survived by his wife, Pam George Parmer; son, J.R. Parmer; daughter, Brandi Walters and husband, James; granddaughters, Taylor and Trinity Walters, who dearly loved their "Poppie"; father, Branton Parmer and wife, Martha; sister, Gwen Oliver; brother, Gus "Frankie" Parmer and wife, Kelly; father-in-law, Walter "Buck" George and several nieces, nephews and extended family members. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Steve Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 6 – 8 p.m.
