James Luther Locke Sr., 81, of Panama City Beach, passed away on Thursday December 17, 2015. He was born August 19, 1934 in Bonifay, Florida. He was a Colonel serving in the Florida Army National Guard, retiring after 39 years of service. He was also the Emergency Manager Director for Bradford County, Florida. He was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Panama City, where he served as a Deacon and usher. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claudian and Myrtie Lee Locke; and brother, Daucy Jacobs. He is survived by his wife Imogene Locke; five children, Perry Bryan (Gloria), Kathy Register (Steve), Craig P. Bryan (Kim), James "Jim" L. Locke Jr., Bob Locke (Anissa); nine grandchildren, Jaime Register, Christopher Register (Brandi), Griff Register (Ari), Alysa Sams (Joe), Jacob Locke, Shaun Bryan, Taylor Bryan, Keaton Locke, Ashton Locke; two great grandchildren, Kinslee Register, Rhett Register; one sister, Sarah Hammond (Ed); and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Panama City. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday at 3 p.m. in Gulf Cemetery with military honors conducted at the cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. Those desiring to may make a donation to the First Baptist Church of Panama City Building Fund, PO Box 1200, Panama City, Florida 32402 in memory of Jim Locke.
