JAMES L. "LEONARD" TYNDAL
James L. "Leonard" Tyndal, 84, of Panama City, passed away Monday, October 31, 2011. He was born January 22, 1927 in Candler County, Georgia. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a retired lumber truck driver. He was preceded in death by his son, Ritchie Lee Tyndal; five brothers, Rlando, John, Robert, Bo, Clyde; and two sisters, Jewell and Ruby. He is survived by his son, Ronnie Tyndal and wife Irene; two daughters, Kimberly VanWilpe, Tammie Payton; five grandchildren, Samantha VanWhilpe, Ronnie C. Tyndal, Jr., Tyler Payton, Terry Payton, Briana Payton; two great grandchildren, Makyli Tyndal, Carter Tyndal; brother, Charles Tyndal and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Jeff Newell officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery with military honors conducted at the graveside. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
