JAMES "JIMMY" BRYAN KEEN SR.
James "Jimmy" Bryan Keen, Sr., 74, of Panama City, died February 2, 2009 at the Chester Sims VA Nursing Home. He was born in 1934 in Crestview, Florida to the late Bryan and Audrey Keen. He was a member of St. Andrew Baptist Church and also the St. Andrew Masonic Lodge #212 and the American Legion. He was in building construction for years in Panama City before joining the Robin and Morton Group in Birmingham, Alabama of which he retired in 2000 as a senior project manager. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Bette Sue Vincel of Defuniak Springs, his brother, Larry Keen and grandson, Ben Keen, both of Panama City. He is survived by his wife, Betty Keen, four sons, Bryan and wife Lark, Steve, Carl and wife Beverly, Leamon and wife Angie, 10 grandchildren, Kristina and husband Billy, Chris, Steven, Kaylen, Brianna, Anna, Matt, Chase, Jake and Jenny, 2 great grandchildren, Klayton and Payton, and his little dog, Suzie. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Michael Claunch officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. The family would like to thank the Chester Sims VA nursing home for all their professional and loving care and also many thanks to the staff in the Delta Red Unit.
