JAMES CLIFFORD WOODACRE

James Clifford "Jimmy" Woodacre, 77, of Youngstown, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at Bay Medical Center. He was born May 21, 1931 in New Bedford, Massachusetts. He served in the United States Navy from October 1950 to August 5, 1954 and the United States Air Force October 1956 to January 1973, where he was a weapons mechanic and crew chief. Some of his travels in the military included Japan, Germany, Indo China, Korea and 3 tours in Vietnam. He married Rebecca Louise Langerud in 1968 in the Immanuel Baptist Church. His hobbies included bass fishing and he loved to go to the fish camp. He enjoyed cooking a good meal and always wanted to hear what a good job he had done. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Louise Woodacre, mother, Mary Ellen Woodacre, brothers, Jim Woodacre, Richard Woodacre and sister, Doris. He is survived by three children, Liz Frisbie and husband, Kenny of Tallahassee, Florida, Craig Langerud and wife Christina of Panama City, Rhonda Williams and husband Greg of Valdosta, Georgia, 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, dear friend, Mariann Horn, and pet, Ms. Pepper. Graveside services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Gardens with Dr. Floyd Wright officiating. Full military honors will be conducted by the Tyndall Air Force Base Honor Guard. Those desiring to may make contributions to the American Cancer Society, 2012 A Lisenby Avenue, Panama City, Florida 32405 in memory of Jimmy Woodacre.
