James M. "Jim" Coonce Jr., 92, of Panama City, FL passed away on Monday March 26, 2018. He was born on September 12, 1925 in Stoutland, Missouri. He graduated from the University of Missouri where he received a professional degree in Aerospace Engineering. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He retired as an Aerospace Engineer with NASA. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Gail Coonce. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Bayne Culbreth Coonce and a son, Barry Coonce. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 am in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clyde Ellison officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10-11 am Saturday prior to the service.
