JAMES I. "JIMMY" HENTZ
James I. "Jimmy" Hentz, 100, of Panama City, passed away at home on Sunday, December 17, 2006. He was born in Calhoun County, and had lived in Panama City since 1937. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Panama City and the Panama City Rotary Club, where he had over 41 years of perfect attendance, was a past president and a Paul Harris Fellow. He was also a member of the Shaddai Shrine Temple, the Acme Masonic Lodge # 222, the Red Cross of Constantine, and many other civic organizations. Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Harriett R. Hentz; daughter, Harriett H. Hoerrner of Panama City; grandson, Mark Hoerrner and wife, Keisha; great grandsons, Chase & Tristan Hoerrner of Kennesaw, GA; nieces, Joanne Rankin and husband, Billy of Tallahassee, FL; Sally Redfern and husband, Jim of Panama City; nephews, Mack McClellan and wife, Roylyn of Alice Springs, Australia; Hentz McClellan and wife, Barbara of Blountstown, FL; Steve McClellan and wife, Mary Jane; Jim McClellan and wife, Mary of Pensacola, FL; Bill McClellan and wife, Onaleah of Crawfordville, FL. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the First United Methodist Church of Panama City with Rev. David Warren officiating. Interment will be in the Masonic Garden at Evergreen Memorial Gardens with Masonic rites conducted by Acme Masonic Lodge #222 at the graveside. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.
