James "Jimmy" Harold Quick
James "Jimmy" Harold Quick, who was born June 11th 1938 in Panama City, Florida, went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 surrounded with the sound of joyful singing to the lord by his special caregivers, Carol and Philip. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Abner and Claudia Quick and brother, Billy Joe Quick. He is survived by his brother, Jerry Wayne Quick, sisters, Kathryn Outlaw (Rex), Pat Haller (John), Ara Love, Sandra Baker (Larry), and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jimmy will be remembered for his quick wit, intelligence and humor. His love of SiFi, games shows, books, and his beloved New Orleans. He found joy in simple things and beauty in everything.
In his later years, though his health declined, he still had a special spark and his quick wit kept everyone entertained.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Bay Center Convalescent Home.
A private family memorial will be held Thursday, September 3, 2009 at noon at the home of Steve and Karen Johnson. Interment will be held Saturday, September 12, 2009 at Buck Horne Cemetery in Wewahitchka, Florida at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Covenant Hospice, 107 W 19th Street, Panama City, FL 32405.
