Obituary

James Alva Garrison left this world peacefully on May 10, 2017 at 1:20 pm, with Argie, his wife, Regina, his daughter, and Amanda, his granddaughter by his side.

He was born in Wilcox County Georgia on April 28, 1923. He served in the Army during WWII. He was a long time resident of Panama City working and retiring from Gulf Power Company after 32 years of service.  He was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Argie Calloway Garrison and one daughter, Regina Garrison Blair.  He was the proud Father in Law of Joey Blair, the proud Grand Father of Jeremy Blair and Amanda Blair Oakes and 5 beautiful Great Grand Children, Jackson Blair and Annabelle Blair, Ava, Grady and Jacob Oakes all of Panama City, Fl.  He was also the proud "favorite" Uncle of Connie Plough Morris (Terry), Kathy Plough Steward, Joel Plough (deceased).

Suzzanne Norviel and Pamela Sarvis were his special Angels caring for him during his last and final days.

The funeral will be held on Friday May 12 at Wilson Funeral Home.  The family will receive guests at 1pm with services at the Wilson Chapel at 2pm.  Burial will be at the Garden of Memories on Tyndall Parkway.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Covenant Care Hospice, 107 W. 19th St., Panama City, FL 32405 or to the First United Methodist Church, 903 E 4 th St, Panama City, FL 32405 in his memory.
