JAMES D. GARNER
James D. Garner, 88, of Sunny Hills, FL, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2009. He was born August 30, 1920 in Cullman, Alabama. He retired at the rank of captain from the U.S. Marines after 37 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Martha Garner; two children, Jeanette Darlene Garner, of Wildwood, FL, Thomas James Garner and wife Dianne, of Orlando, FL and two grandchildren, Stephanie Nicole Garner and Thomas James Garner. A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 16, 2009 at New Vision United Methodist Church with Pastor Stephanie Cox officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to New Vision United Methodist Church, 2661 Blocker Church Road, Greenhead, FL 32428, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 6931 Arlington Road, Bethesda, Maryland 20814 or to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312 in memory of James Garner.
