MSGT (Ret) James Dolly Jr., 77, of Panama City Beach, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2016 in a local hospital. He was born August 12, 1938 in Mineola, New York. He was a retired Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force, having served as a decorated Korean & Vietnam War Veteran. He was currently the Commander of the Amvets Post 47 on Panama City Beach. He was also a lifetime member of the V.F.W. and American Legion. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Tubbs Dolly; 5 children, John Dolly (Laura), Amie Hunt, Charles Dolly (Jill); Lori Vandall (Tammy Merrill), Sandra Johnson; 12 grandchildren, Charles Patrick Dolly, Matthew Dolly, Elizabeth Dolly, Sarah Dolly, Sam Hauck, Jacey Hauck, Danica Vandall-Merrill, Ceara Valley, Danielle Shumaker, Douglas Boles, Ashley Lambert (Christopher), Andrew Jones; mother of his children, Sandra Dolly; mother-in-law, Bobbie Tubbs and 3 great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 30 at 3 p.m. in the Amvets Post 47, 8317 Front Beach Road, Suite 14, Panama City, Beach. Private interment services will be held in the Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, Florida at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to the Amvets Post 47 or to the American Cancer Society in memory of James Dolly Jr.
