James "Jim" Dale Deas, 68, of Lynn Haven, passed away on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 in his home. He was born April 28, 1950 in Sumter, South Carolina. He served in the United States Navy from 1971 to 1993. He worked as a Physician's Assistant at Sea Oates Medical Clinic and Nations Best Healthcare. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hayward Henry Deas & Lillie Belle Outlaw Deas; sister, Elizabeth Elmore and three brothers, John Wayne Deas, Alton Luvern Deas and Herman H. Deas. He is survived by his wife, Susan Bell Deas; three sons, Dale Shannon Deas (Vanessa), Chad Vincent Deas, Joshua Aaron Deas (Lauren); six grandchildren, Madison, Austin, Ashton, Leia, Lynlee, Elly; great granddaughter, Braelynn; four brothers, George W. Deas, Billy Deas (Dollie), Ronald Deas, Donald Deas; two sisters, Grace Deas Prescott (Billy), Ellen Deas Purdy and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 2 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 3-5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made to the Humane Society of Bay County in memory of Jim Deas.
