James Christopher "J.C." Maender Sr., 98, of Youngstown, FL passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2021. He was born on January 22, 1922 in Memphis, TN to Albert and Lois Maender. He served as a Senior Master Sergeant for the United States Air Force. After retiring from the Air Force he worked as a Park Ranger for the State of Florida. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janie Maender. He is survived by three children, Theresa Maender, James C. "Chris" Maender Jr. (Laura), Mariann Maender; one granddaughter, Jessica Maender; one great granddaughter, Zoey Maender. The family will receive friends at Wilson Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 from 5-7 pm. A private family graveside service will be held on Thursday at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Those desiring may make memorial donations to the Bay County Humane Society in memory of J.C. Maender.
