James Wade Byers, 84, of Palm Harbor, FL, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 5, 2023. He was born on June 14, 1939, in Montgomery, AL to William Henry and Mary Jeannette Byers. He was a graduate of Bay High School, class of 1957.  He worked for Crawford and Company Insurance for almost 40 years. James was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Delores Byers; two sons, James Wade Byers, Jr. and Craig Alan Byers. He is survived by one daughter, Suzanne Byers; one sister, Jeannette Chapman; one sister-in-law, Janice Hamm; nieces and nephews, Tom Hamm, Mary Marie Clemo, Joey Chapman, Tracy Smith, Kristian Chapman and David Chapman.  He graduated from University of Florida and was an avid Gator fan.  He loved playing baseball and being on the golf course.  Per his wishes there will be no services held at this time.
