IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James "Jimmy"
Argyle
May 13, 1952 – September 2, 2024
James (Jimmy) Argyle - Born May 13, 1952 to Capt. Clarence Argyle and Ethel Argyle (Hess), brother of Larry Argyle, Janet Argyle, and Darlene Argyle. As a young man, Jimmy liked to spend time outdoors surrounded by nature. He enjoyed fishing and swimming the rivers near his hometown of Dravosburg, PA. He was a lover of animals, who always found time to care for and feed stray cats. Jimmy had a passion for music. This led him to local performances with the band Sanctions, and many others over the years. He had an ability to hear the music and to share it with others through singing, playing the guitar, and piano. He admired history and the significance of learning from the past to lead yourself to a better tomorrow. He worked for U.S. Steel, Clairton Mill Works for over 30 years. At home, he was a handy repairman, where he would always have a project such as woodworking or refurbishing vintage guitars and antique furniture. Upon retiring from U.S. Steel, he moved to Panama City, FL. There he enjoyed the beach life, swimming and shelling the days away in the Gulf of Mexico. He and his beloved Karen shared a fondness for collecting antiques. Jimmy passed away Monday September 2, 2024. Preceded in death by his parents Clarence & Ethel, stepfather Jesse, his wife Karen, and sisters Janet & Darlene. Survived by brother Larry Argyle (Carol), daughters Jennifer Case, Heather L. Gaussa (Edward), Grace Butler (Michael), and son Brent Argyle. Grandchildren Justin (Haley), Jonathan, Logan, Aidan, Savannah, Anthony, Lucah, and Joey. And three great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and his adored cat, Rusty. The family is thankful for all continued prayers and support. And as requested by Jimmy, there will be no funeral services.
