Jakob David Kibler, 27, of Tallahassee, FL passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2021. He was born on September 20, 1993 in Panama City Beach, FL to Jonathan and Jan Kibler. Jakob graduated from Arnold High School in 2012 and continued his career at Auburn University in Auburn, Al, graduating in May of 2018 with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Nuclear Power. He was dedicated to working at Carrabba's Restaurant for over 10 years and paying for his schooling. He was an avid sport's fan who enjoyed all types of sports, whether it be watching football and baseball or watching Olympic curling. Jakob always cared so deeply for people. He would drop everything to help you, no matter what. Everyone saw Jakob as the life of the party, but also the one to get the party shut down for recklessness. He always found comfort in situations that were uncomfortable and helped other people feel comfortable in those moments. He is survived by his parents, Jonathan and Jan Kibler; two sisters, JuliAnne Kibler, Jessilee Kibler; one brother, Joshua Kibler; grandfather, James L. Petski; several aunts and uncles. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at 2 pm at Woodlawn Church, 219 Alf Coleman Rd, Panama City Beach, FL 32413. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 1-2 pm prior to the service.
