JACQUELINE SIKES
Jacqueline Sikes, 73, of Panama City, passed away Monday, June 16, 2008 in her home. She was born April 2, 1935 in Luverne, Alabama to Hubert and Rosalie Sikes. She was a 1953 graduate of Bay High School. She attended the University of Florida where she was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority. She was the owner of two antique shops, The Wicker Rocker on Magnolia Square in Panama City and Jacqueline's in Cashier, North Carolina. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the St. Andrew Bay Yacht Club and the Junior Service League. She was also a talented decorator and culinary cook. She was preceded in death by her children, Rosalyn Lowery and Thomas Bynum and her parents. She is survived by three children, John Bynum, of Cashiers, North Carolina, Jim Bynum and wife Kelly, Amy Emery, all of Panama City, six grandchildren, John Gray Bynum, Jim Wells Lowery, Ashley Walk and husband Larry, Jacqueline Nicole Bynum, Benjamin Emery, Reid Bynum, four great grandchildren, Clayton Walk, Haley Walk, James W. Lowery V, Taeden Bynum, brother, Lamar Sikes and wife Patti, of Pensacola, and special friend, Topeka Humphries and husband Dexter. Graveside services will be held 5 p.m. Wednesday at Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. Albert Rowell and Julian Bennett officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 2012-A Lisenby Avenue, Panama City, FL 32401 in memory of Jackie Sikes.
