Jacqueline Stanford Owenby, 88, went to sleep in the Lord August 21, 2023.

She was born August 3, 1935, to H.F. & Gertrude Stanford in St. Andrews, FL.

In 1956, Jackie met Wendell Owenby through friends at Johnson's Carpet Golf in Panama City, FL. They were married in 1957 and have been at each other's side for the past 66 years.

She is preceded in death by her brother, B.F. Stanford.

Jackie is survived by her husband, Wendell, daughter, Terry Thorpe (Rusty), grandson Cory Thorpe (Sarah), great grandson, Andruw Thorpe, brothers, Wayne Stanford (Gwen), Michael Stanford (Priscilla), sister, Pam Forehand (Norman), sister-in-law, Sue Stanford as well as many nieces, nephews & cousins.

She was a lifelong member of the Millville Advent Christian Church where she was involved in many aspects of ministry her whole life. Everyone who knew and met Jackie felt her loving and caring nature.

Even in death, Jackie's ever-present desire to help others is evident in her donation of her body to research.

Due to her lifelong love of ice cream, there will be a celebration of life with an ice cream social at the Millville Advent Christian Church on August 26, 2023. Family and friends are invited to stop by any time between 2:00 – 4:00.

If anyone would like to make a donation in Jackie's memory, she requested donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
