JACK CECIL EVERETT
Jack Cecil Everett, 84, joined his loved ones in heaven on Sunday, March 10, 2013 after a long courageous battle against bladder and bone cancer. Born in Birmingham, Alabama, on July 27, 1928, he joined the Army Air Corps in August 1946, shortly before it became the United States Air Force. He used his radio and communications skills on tours of duty in Japan, Texas, Germany, Florida, Alaska, Mississippi, Washington, D.C. and Spain. Jack retired from the USAF in 1968 and moved to Panama City Beach, to help his mother and grandmother run the Royal Court Motel. Jack was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Oran Everett, his mother, Clara Elizabeth O'Bryant, and his beloved wife of 51 years, Rosemarie Michaela Fischinger. He is survived by two daughters and three grandchildren, Dorothy, Joe and Mark Everett of Baltimore and Patricia, Drew and Rowan Fulton of Royal Palm Beach. Other survivors include Danny and Raquel Davies of San Diego, Jayne and Perry Stover and Tracy Rogers of Oklahoma, Thomas Krakau of Hamburg, Germany, Anja Krakau of Spain, Everett cousins Frances Davis and family of Leeds, Alabama, J.D. Everett of Pinehurst, North Carolina, Sarah Lees, of Jacksonville, Florida, and Creel cousins Lem and Nita Johns, Virginia von Brabant, Tommy and Jimmy Schauer and families, all of Birmingham, Alabama, and Marilyn Dawson and family of California. The family would like to thank the wonderful, caring medical professionals at Bay Medical Center, Health South, and Emerald Coast Hospice for caring for Jack during his final days. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Emerald Coast Hospice, 2925 Martin Luther King Blvd, Panama City, FL 32405. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 14 in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Stansbury officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 1 – 2 p.m. prior to the service.
