Iris Cain Sowell passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2024. She was born on October 10, 1933 to Porter Marvin Cain and Pearl Wilson Cain. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death  by her parents, two sisters, Peggy Soelzer, Billie Hensdill; two brothers-in-law, Don Hensdill and Skip Beach. She is survived by her husband, Maurice Sowell; a son, Dan Sowell (Cheryl); a daughter, Susan Sowell; a granddaughter, Casey Clark (James)  who was the "Sunshine" of her life and a sister, Dodie Beach. A graveside service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in the Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. Larry Beach officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Gideon's International, PO Box 685, Panama City, FL 32402 in memory of Iris Sowell.
