Huey "Hugh" Carlton Lane III, 44, of Panama City Beach, FL passed away on Monday June 25, 2018. He was born on November 28, 1973 in Dothan, AL. He graduated from Headland High School in 1992 and from Valdosta State University in 1997. He worked at the Masonic Home in Macon, Georgia. He was the former manager of the seafood department at Winn-Dixie on Thomas Drive. He was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. He and his wife loved walking their dog Sassy. Hugh lived his life for 44 short but wonderful years with a fearless heart of gold, he faced whatever came his way with an inner strength that only a man of God could have. He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Joshua Bawcum. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Nicole Bawcum-Davis Lane; father, Carlton Lane (Jan); mother, Wanda Pinkard; brother, Stephen Lane; sister, Lesley Carter (Ryan); half-brother, Christopher Lane; half-sister, Laura Lane; two grandmothers, Nellie Lane, Jean McBride; mother-in-law, Virginia Davis; father-in-law, Mark Bawcum; sister-in-law, Cassie Bawcum; grandparents-in-law, Jerry and Joyce Bawcum; niece, Kayleigh Carter; and nephew, Evan Carter.   Memorial services will be held on Saturday June 30, 2018 at 3 pm at Cornerstone Baptist Church with Rev. Neil Hickem officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 2-3 pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donation may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital or Cornerstone Baptist Church in memory of Hugh Lane.
