HOYT W. RAFFIELD SR.
Hoyt W. Raffield Sr., "The Dancer" passed away Saturday, July 1, 2006 at a local hospital. He was born January 31, 1916, the son of Cullen & Eva Raffield. In his early years, he owned and operated Raffield Fish Market on 6th Street in Panama City. Later he joined Standard Coffee Company and retired from there in 1985. Mr. Raffield lived a long and productive life. He enjoyed people, dancing and having friends over for fish fries. He was preceded in death by his wife, Johnnie Mae Raffield, a son, William Hoyt Raffield, and a grandson. He is survived by a son, Timothy Keith Raffield and wife, Linda of Jakin, GA, 2 sisters, Dina Scarlett and husband, Tom of Warner Robbins, GA, Peggy Brande and husband, Don, of Lynn Haven, FL, 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darwin Glass officiating. Interment will follow in the Millville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Monday.
