Howard Steve Richardson, 76, passed away May 3, 2015 in the Clifford C. Sims Nursing Home, where he had been a resident for six years. He was born July 28, 1938 in Live Oak, Florida. He was the owner of Badcock Home Furnishings Center in Cross City and Port St. Joe, Florida. He was a founding member of the Port St. Joe Downtown Redevelopment Agency and Past President of the Gulf County Chamber of Commerce. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Port St. Joe. He is survived by wife, Melba Jean Richardson; daughters, Diane Harris and Cindy Richardson; grandchildren, Brandon M. Harris (Maria) and Bryce A. Harris; great grandchildren, Haley Harris and Austin Harris; siblings, Joyce Traver (Aaron), Raymond Richardson (Pat), Edith Graham (Gerald), and Calvin Richardson, Jr. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. CST. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Florida Sheriff's Youth Ranches, PO Box 2000, Boys Ranch, Florida 32064 or the Alzheimer's Association, 225 North Michigan Avenue Floor 17, Chicago, Illinois 60601-7633 in memory of Howard Steve Richardson.
