Hortense Harper Thurman, 85, of Lynn Haven, passed away March 7, 2019. She was born July 10, 1933 to Frank and Effie Harper. She was a member of the St. Andrew United Methodist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Thurman. She is survived by her son, Stephen W. Thurman and wife Kathy; two grandchildren, Blake Thurman and Brittany Cartwright; three great grandchildren, Braxton Boswell, Ellie Cartwright and Weston Thurman; brother, Eugene Harper and sister, Mary Boudin. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 15, 2019 at 1 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Blount officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 12 to 1 p.m., one hour prior to service time.
