HORTENSE TILLMAN GLASS
Hortense Tillman Glass, 84, of Southport, Florida, passed away December 18, 2011 in a local hospital. She was born September 8, 1927 in Southport, Florida to Bennett E. and Pansey Eva Tiller Tillman. She was a lifelong resident of Southport, Florida. She was a 1945 graduate of Bay High School. She was a member of Southport Victory Holiness Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Josephine Ellis. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, James E. Glass of Southport, Florida; one daughter, Aletha Walter and husband, Lawrence of Dalton, Georgia; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Grady of Nashville, Tennessee, Brett Walter and wife Alayna of Davenport, Florida, Kellyn Walter of Orlando, Florida; and one great-grandchild, Jacob Grady of Nashville, Tennessee. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kevin Bartlett and Rev. Danny Burns officiating. Interment will follow in Southport Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
