Henry "Hank" James Barse Sr., 92, of Panama City, passed away February 2, 2017. He was born on September 30, 1924 in Moira, New York to Clifton Joseph and Josephine Agnes Barse. He was a retired crane operator for Alcoa Aluminum Company. He was a member of the St. Dominic's Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, the V.F.W and the American Legion. He served in the United States Army during World War II at the Battle of the Bulge. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Bridget; two daughters, Juanita and Marie; and two sons, Bernard and Reginald. He is survived by his sons, Henry James Barse Jr. (Linda), Victor Barse (Tina), and Daniel Barse (Dawn); 15 grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at 10 a.m. at the St. Dominic's Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, February 6, 2017 from 5 to 7 p.m. with a rosary service at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to the St. Dominic's Catholic Church in memory of Hank Barse.
