Obituary

Henry Lee Baker, age 92, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2015. He was a member of the St. Andrew Episcopal Church. During his lifetime he became a member of the Rural Letter Carriers Association, Hurricane Ramblers Travel Club, and the Westside Men's Club. He also proudly served his country during World War II in the United States Navy. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Jane Baker and sister, Betty Breland. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Lena Smith Baker and his daughters, Linda Peters (Larry) of Panama City, FL, Barbara Hedeen (Pete) of Pensacola, FL, Susan Legg (Jim) of Panama City, FL and Marie Martinez (Danny) of Bluffton, South Carolina; grandchildren, Jason Peters (Angela), Theresa Hamm (John), Kenneth Hedeen (Jesse), Colton Burleson; great grandchildren, Kayla, Kristen, and Caden Peters, Lauren and Joseph Hedeen, and Holland Dixon; sister, Margaret Lee (Bill), and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a number of other extended family members. Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm on Friday, May 15, 2015 in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Margaret S. Shepard and Rev. Carl Fountain officiating. Interment will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, May 14, 2015 from 6 to 8 pm. Serving as pallbearers will be Larry Peters, Jason Peters, Danny Martinez, Pete Hedeen, and Jim Legg.
