Helen Smith Turner, 88, of Youngstown, was promoted to glory on Monday, June 13, 2016. She was a native Floridian, having attended Florida State College for Women; graduating after the name was changed to Florida State University. She taught school in Bay County for 32 years. She was a member and an active worker at First Baptist Church of Panama City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Turner and a brother, Glenn A. Smith. She is survived by a son, Joseph Ralph Turner Jr. (Lucretia); a daughter, Glenda Turner Tiwana (Paul); five grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and one great great grandson. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
