HELEN MAY SYMONS
Helen May Symons, 76, of Panama City Beach, passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2007 at her home. She was born on November 1, 1930 in Astoria, New York. She graduated as a RN from the Presbyterian School of Nursing, Class of 1952 in Newark, NJ. She worked as an Operating Room nurse, in the paraplegic ward of the Veteran's Hospital and as a visiting nurse all in New Jersey, retiring in 1985. She was a member of the Bay Point Women's Club, and the Bay Point Ladies Golf Association. She loved gardening and flowers. She is survived by her husband, Walter Vaughan Symons, three sons, Walter T. Symons and his wife, Erin, of Grand Blanc, Michigan, Lance Edwin Symons and his wife, Laura, of Harringston Park, New Jersey, Darrell Jeffrey Symons, of Atlanta, Georgia, three grandchildren, Tyler Vaughan Symons, Haley Tess Symons, Casey Thomas Symons, two sisters, Carolyn Boyd, of East Hanover, New Jersey and Joyce Engelbert and her husband, Edward, of Chatham, New Jersey; sister-in-law, Peggy Kovac and husband, Harold; brother-in-law, Ron Symons and wife, Barbara, all of Ocala, FL. A memorial service will be held on Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Those desiring may make a donations to Hospice of the Emerald Coast, 2925 Martin Luther King Blvd, Panama City, FL 32405 in memory of Helen Symons.
