Helen Culbreth Schrenker, 86, of Panama City, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 1, 2016. She was born on January 22, 1930 in Panama City to Isaiah Rodolph & Opal Emma Culbreth. She graduated from Bay High School in 1946 and Florida State University in 1950. She earned her Master's degree from Auburn University. Helen retired from Bay High School in 1994, where she had taught Business Education for over 38 years. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Panama City, where she taught Sunday School for over 40 years. She was also very involved in the Church choir and the W.M.U. She was also a member of the Woman's Club of Panama City and the Retired Teacher's Association. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Joan Parker, and grandson, Micah Schrenker. She is survived by her three sons, Donald Schrenker (Pam) of Valrico, FL; David Schrenker (Belinda) of Charlotte, N.C.; Tim Schrenker (Missy) of Marianna, FL; seven grandchildren, Nolan, Lauren, Rebecca, Hannah, Sarah, Madison, Megan; three sisters, Marynel Adams, Sara Cooper (Poker); Bayne Coonce (Jim); brother-in-law, Jesse Parker and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held on Friday, July 8 at 2 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Panama City with Rev. Clyde Ellison officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 1-2 p.m. Friday prior to the service.
