HAZEL "DELL" HENDRIX MACK
Hazel "Dell" Hendrix Mack, 77, of Panama City, Florida, passed away at her home on Sunday, May 06, 2007 surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 11, 1930 in Samson, Alabama to the late Myrtle & J. Lee Hendrix. She was the owner of "Hazel's Beauty Shop" since 1958. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Panama City. She was a loving mother, wife, grandmother and aunt. She loved having family "get-togethers" and was always there for everyone. She will be missed and loved forever in our hearts. She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Recho Mack; son, Michael Burkett and wife, Vicki; daughter, Marcia Buchanan and husband, Bobby, all of Panama City; stepchildren, Carole Manious of Monroe, Ohio; Susan Hathaway and husband, Ronnie; John Mack, all of Panama City; 7 grandchildren, Camille Buchanan and fiancée Eddie Barrentine; Courtney "Dell" Buchanan; Katie Buchanan; Patrick Burkett; Ryan Burkett; Benjamin Hathaway, all of Panama City; Carey Surgener of St. Petersburg, FL; 2 loving sisters, Edna Childs of Hartford, AL; Bonnie Thames of Panama City; special nieces, Barbara Reese and husband, Joe Mac; Sue Campbell, all of Panama City; Marjorie Strickland and husband, Johnny of Hartford, AL; nephew, Tom Ed Marshall Jr. and wife, Elizabeth of Panama City. Hazel had 8 great nieces and nephews of Panama City. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Hayward Donald; brother, Wilmont Hendrix and a sister, Emma Joe Marshall. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clyde Ellison officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Monday. Those desiring may make a contribution to Covenant Hospice. A special thanks to Dr. William Dent, who was her savior. The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as pallbearers, Ryan Burkett, Johnny Strickland, Joe Mac Reese, Chase Campbell, Jimmy Driggers and Phillip Harris.
