HAZEL EUGENIA ROSEBERRY-HOOD
Hazel Eugenia Roseberry-Hood, age 85, of Porterdale, Georgia, passed away on February 10, 2011 at Panama City Nursing Center in Panama City, Florida. She was the daughter of the late William W. and Estelle L. Roseberry of Covington, Georgia. Mrs. Hood was an active participant at the senior citizens center in Covington, Georgia. She spent many years enjoying various social activities there with her friends and family. She also liked word find puzzles and TV game shows until she succumbed to the effects of Alzheimer's.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Aavon and Ozell Gunn of Parker, Florida; her son, William M. (Bud) Roseberry of Porterdale, Georgia; and her daughter, Patricia (Carol) Countryman of Melbourne, Florida; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild on the way; and her loving sister, Mildred L. Morrow of Porterdale, Georgia.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hood will be held in the Chapel of Caldwell and Cowan Funeral Home, Covington, Georgia, with Pastor James A. Moore of the Julia A. Porter Church officiating. Interment will follow at the Baptist Cemetery in Porterdale, Georgia. She never met a stranger and will be missed by many.
