Haskell Eugene Starr, age 83, of Baytown, Texas, went to be with the Lord on August 3, 2012 while visiting relatives in the Panama City area. He was a native Texan born in Littlefield, Texas. He was a veteran of World War II who served in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church and served on the board for 34 years. Haskell is survived by his wife of 62 years, Naomi Pate Starr; daughter; Treva Knox and her husband Leon; son Damon Starr; grandchildren, Keenan Knox and wife Cynthia and their daughters Kaegan and Kylie; Hollie Knox, Danette Allen and husband Joe and their children Chloe and Paul; Zane Starr and wife Shanna and their son Camron; sisters-in-law, Pansy Bjorklund and Zera Denson, brothers-in-law; Dex Pate and his wife Margie; Kenna Pate and his wife Carol; many nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held Sunday August 5, 2012 at 3 pm in the Bruce United Methodist Church in Bruce, Florida with Pastor Woody Bollinger and Dr. John Friedman officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:30-3 p.m. prior to the service.
