Harry E. Warnberg 1932-2023

Army Lt. Colonel (RET) Harry E. Warnberg, 90, of Lynn Haven, FL passed away in the pre-dawn of March 18, 2023. He was born in Little Falls, MN. He married Emily in Mobile, AL in 1956 and they had three children.

Harry was drafted in the Army in 1953, and had tours in troubled parts of the world: Berlin; the Dominican Republic; two combat tours in Vietnam; and in El Salvador. He was an Infantryman, a Paratrooper, and a proud wearer of the Green Beret.

Harry loved working on old buildings, and led the team that restored Roberts Hall, where Hank Williams performed in the '40s.

Harry is survived by his daughter, Charlotte Moreau; daughter in law, Michelle Warnberg; 'other' son, Paul Fortune' (Zonna); grandsons, Hasten Warnberg, Seth Moreau, and Cole Moreau (Kayce); granddaughters, Kayla and Salina Fortune'; great-granddaughters, Brynn and Jade Warnberg.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Emily; his son, Charles; his daughter, Margaret.

A memorial service will be Saturday, April 15, at 4pm at Roberts Hall in Lynn Haven, FL. Donations may be made to ARC of the BAY, or to IOOF Scarlet Lodge #75 (Roberts Hall).
