Obituary

Harry Everett Revis, 81, passed away Tuesday February 9, 2021 in Panama City Beach, FL.  He spent most of his life in Maryland and the surrounding area.  In 2011 he moved to Panama City Beach FL to be closer to family.  While in Panama City he met and married Phyllis F Revis, who has brought him lots of joy in his final years.

He graduated from Surrattsville High School and over the years has still kept in touch with many of his classmates.  After graduating from high school he joined the U.S Naval Air Reserve.  He later joined the Navy and had 12 years of service, specializing in electronics and aeronautics.  He later worked many years for NASA and the Federal Aviation Administration serving as a technical writer on various projects.

He was extremely active in the American Legion, Fleet Reserve, and many other associations that support our United States Veterans.  Some of his greatest joy was serving the community and volunteering at various charity and fund raising events.

He was also a very talented artist working primarily with wood and woodturning.  In his own words, woodworking gave him a great sense of accomplishment and fulfillment. His unique pieces are in the homes of many of his family and friends.

Harry is preceded in death by his father Homer L Revis Sr, his mother Nola Pauline (Polly) Davis Revis, sister Ina Jean Revis Curles, brother Homer L Revis Jr, brother-in-law Roy Tucker, brother-in-law Woody Curles and beloved Aunt Ruth Hurtt.  In addition there were  several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nephews and other family members.  His greatest loss was the death of his young son Brian Todd Revis.

He leaves behind numerous loved ones including Phyllis F Revis, his loving wife of 8 years.  Sister Phyllis Tucker, brother Claude Revis (Nancy), and brother Roy Revis (Sharon), and sister-in-law Joan Revis.  He is also survived by 3 daughters, Tammy Revis Arthur (Ben),  Kimberly Callis, Shelly Revis Smith (Harry).  In addition he has 5 grandchildren:  Michael Aspinwall (Brittany), Matthew Aspinwall (Rob), Todd Smith, Monica Smith and Jacob Arthur.  He also has 3 great-grandchildren:  Sebastian Aspinwall, Benjamin Aspinwall and Edward Aspinwall.

Memorial services to celebrate Harry's life are being planned in Maryland.  In memory of Harry, donations can be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children.
