Joe Horton, 72, of Panama City, went to be with the Lord on December 13, 2009. He was born October 30, 1937 in Cadillac, Michigan and was raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He was a truck driver for Hornady Truck Lines for the last 17 years. He was owner and operator of Horton House Movers for 32 years. He was a member of Springfield Community Church. He was preceded in death by his son, Darrell Horton. He is survived by his wife, Barbara "Charlene" Horton; one daughter, Harriett Lemieux and husband, Ricky; three sons, Delbert and wife Debbie; David and wife Nancy; Doug and wife Carly, all of Panama City, 13 grandchildren, Randy Lemieux, Tiffany Lemieux, Mandy Webster and husband David; D.T. Horton and wife Cassie; Darrell Stanley Horton, Tommy Horton, Tina Horton, Ashley Horton, Josh Horton, Darrell Lee Horton, Trevor Horton, Michael Horton and Zac Eller, great grandchildren, Caden Lemieux, Alyssa Webster, Brittany Webster, Camryn Webster, Mason Horton, Michael Hanner Horton, Jaycob Horton, Elijah Horton and Kailyer Horton, one sister, Judy Habaj and husband Joe of Laporte, Indiana. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Springfield Community Church with Rev. John Broome and Rev. Donnie Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in the Millville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. Active pallbearers are LeeRoy Whitaker, Charlie Allon, Joe Pat Hunt, Randy Lemieux, Tommy Horton, D.T. Horton, Darrell Lee Horton, Darrell Stanley Horton, Trevor Horton, David Webster, Edward Davidson. Honorary pallbearers are Josh Horton, Michael Horton, Zac Eller, Dwight Willoughby, Ken Bradley, employees of Hornady Truck Lines and all fellow truckers.
