Harold "Hal" Vincent Britton, 95, of Panama City, passed away Thursday, March 4, 2021. He was born December 15, 1925 in Niagara Falls, NY to Samuel Britton and Minnie Lockner Britton. He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Landrum Britton, ten brothers and sisters, including his twin, Harry Britton. He is survived by his daughter, Lark Britton Keen and husband Bryan of Panama City; two granddaughters, Kaylen Keen Sheridan (Tyler), and Brianna Keen Gregoriou (Oli); one great grandson, Grant Sheridan; sister-in-law, Margaret Britton, and one brother-in law Britt Landrum (Nell); and numerous nieces and nephews. Over his career he worked for Boeing and Bell. He had a lifelong love of aviation, which included being on the check out and launch team of the Saturn V, which propelled man to the moon. In 2015, The Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration presented to him The Charles Taylor "Master Mechanic" Award and The Wright Brothers "Master Pilot" Award. He enjoyed flying planes and helicopters, boating, listening to music, wood working, riding his scooter around St. Andrews, and spending time with his friends and family. He was also a member of the Panama City Amateur Radio Club. Graveside services will be held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 11:00 am with Chaplain Craig Brannon officiating.
