Harold Edward Dykes, age 93, of Panama City, FL passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2021. He was born on September 17, 1928 in Millville, FL. He was a husband to Lynette Dykes for 71 years and father to three children, Edward Dykes Jr., Bruce Dykes (Maria), Lester Dykes. He was Grandpa to four grandchildren, Casey Dykes, Lucas Dykes (Alita), Nathan Dykes and Lena Dykes. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Francis Dykes; daughter-in-law, Tara Dykes; two sisters, Maggie Breedon, Alma Littleton; two brothers, O.C. Dykes and Nixon Dykes.
Harold Dykes was an avid Florida Gator fan. He also served the country as a Captain in the United States Army National Guard. He was the owner & operator of the Piggly Wiggly in St. Andrews and a member of the Bay County Airport Authority. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 2 pm in the Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Wilson Funeral Home on Saturday from 12-1:30 pm prior to the service. Those desiring may make memorial donations to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 in memory of Harold Dykes.
