Haisten Luther Woodham, born on September 14, 1934 in Ozark Al, went to be with our Lord and Savior on December 17, 2021.

Luther or (Mr. Woodham) as he was known to by most, moved to Panama City, FL in the late 60's establishing the first Winn Dixie's in the area. Luther worked for Winn Dixie for 40 years before retiring. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.  Luther loved to fish and would take any chance he could to do so.

Luther loved the Lord and served as a deacon and choir director for Westview Baptist Church for numerous years.  He was a caring, kind and loving man who always had a smile and an encouraging word for everyone he met.  Luther was the kind of man who met no strangers.  He was also an exceptional cook, well known for his Banana Pudding, Chicken and Dumplings and world famous Coconut Cake.

He is preceded in death by his wife Rochelle Woodham, his mother Ona, father Alver, brothers Douglas, James, JC, Tommy and sisters Clyde, Doris, and Mavis.

Luther is survived by his loving husband of 31 years, Hector "Rico" Rivera, daughters Lisa and husband Jim Buckley and Vicki and Husband Tracy Hodges, his grandchildren Candace Comunale, Megan Smith, Kathryn Buckley, Jessica Opio and Jarrod Opio, great granddaughter, Penelope Comunale. Luther is also survived by his extended family on his husband's side the Rivera's, the Putnik's, the Villamils, and the Ortiz.

The visitation for family and friends will be at Wilson Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 from 5-7 pm.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at 10am in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Britt Gilbreath officiating.
