IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Hailey Ashelle
Long
November 17, 2000 – March 25, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Hailey Ashelle Long, 25, of Junction City, Kansas, who was taken from us far too soon on March 25, 2025. Born on November 17, 2000, Hailey brought light and love into the lives of everyone who knew her. She was an amazing student at Chapman High School, she had a strong spirit, a kind heart, and an unwavering love for her family and friends.
Hailey adored her family, cherishing every moment spent with them. Her brother, Jordan, was her everything, and her love for him was immeasurable. She was a devoted daughter to Amanda Long and a beloved sister to Jordan Horn, Kaitlin Horn, Lacy Green, Ashlee Thomas, Yawndell Thomas, Janiya Otis, Paige Hill, and Liam Horn. She was deeply loved by her father, Brad Carlton, her grandparents: Gaylon Shoffner, Cindy Stewart, Catherine Stinnett, Darrel Stinnett, and Michael Long, as well as her great-grandparents, Carlos Lusk, Carol Lusk and Glen Stewart. Her extended family—including many aunts; Alicia Stinnett, Gerri Barns, Lindsey Olson, Megan Shoffner, Jessica Shoffner, and Diana Sewelson; uncles; Brandon Stinnett, Corey Stinnett, Josh Stinnett, Alex Stinnett, Raymond Long, Andrew Olson, Chris Stinnett, Tony Watkins, Glynn Barnes, and Kevin Hanson; cousins; Taylor Watkins, Cooper Watkins, Tanner Clark, Bayley Clark, Zaidyn Olson, Brynlie Olson, Syriana Olson, Catherine Stinnett, Elijah Stinnett, Realynn Long, Michael Long, Geo Shoffner, Tabitha Shoffner, Aiden Cheek, Alexis Cheek, Noah Hanson, Aaron Hanson, Greg Rachel, and Koa Watkins; nieces; Hazel Green, Mayella Hill, and Elaina Hill; and nephews, Jameson Horn and Joseph Horn—will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
Known for her unwavering loyalty, Hailey always stood her ground and never hesitated to stand up for those she loved. Even in moments of frustration, she had an incredible capacity for forgiveness and kindness. She had a deep appreciation for designer fashion, always ensuring her hair and nails were done to perfection. Her generosity knew no bounds—she would help anyone in need, no matter the circumstances.
As a child, Hailey found joy in ballet, participating in Awanas, riding four-wheelers with her cousins, styling their hair, and being involved in FFA. These early passions shaped the strong, independent woman she became.
Her friends meant the world to her, and she was always surrounded by those she loved. Her infectious laughter, contagious smile, fierce loyalty, and her kind heart will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
A celebration of Hailey's life will be held on March 31, 2025, at 11 a.m. at the Shoffner/Horn Farm, 3150 Quail Rd, Chapman, Kansas 67431. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor the beautiful soul who left us too soon but will forever remain in our hearts.
Rest in peace, sweet Hailey. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
