Dr. Gwynelle Mashburn Spell

Dr. Gwynelle Mashburn Spell slipped peacefully from this life to the next in the gentle loving presence of her caregivers at BeeHive Homes of Lynn Haven on Thursday evening, January 13, 2022 from Parkinson's and Dementia.

Gwynelle chose as her last gift to have her body donated to science in full alignment with her lifelong passion for learning and her abiding commitment to education.

A graveside ceremony at the Mashburn Cemetery will be held sometime in the future when she is returned from the University of Florida College of Medicine to inter her cremains alongside her mother Edna and her father Wilson.

In honor of her generous spirit, please consider a donation to one of the causes near and dear to her heart:  Alzheimer's research, Diabetes research, First United Methodist Church, Bay Arts Alliance, Panama City Music Association, or any institution that provides music education.
