Guy "Tony" Crittendon, 84, passed away September 6, 2024. Tony was born on May 20, 1940 in Morristown, TN. His family moved to Panama City, FL in 1943. He was married to his wife, Annette, for 63 years.

Tony was an expert in his trade of sheet metal fabrication. He owned and operated Northside Sheetmetal Inc for 35 years until his retirement in 2006.

Tony was a member of Northside Baptist Church for 64 years . He dearly loved his brothers in Christ and missed attending his men's Sunday school class in his last months. For many years, he ministered to many in schools, prisons and throughout the community distributing bibles as the local volunteer representative for the Gideons International organization.

Throughout his life, Tony was an avid sportsman. He spent many years playing fast pitch softball, hunting, and fishing with lifelong friends and family. There are many stories to be told of those adventures.

In his retirement years, he spent much of his time being the caregiver for others that he loved. Most recently, his personal ministry was to visit his friends that were homebound or in assisted living facilities on a weekly basis. This ministry was enjoyable and of great importance to him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Annette; daughter, Toni Lynn; son-in-law, Payne Nation; grandson, Chris Nation ; great grandson , Mason; mother Floy; stepfather, Joe; father, Esto; and brother, Jack.

Tony is survived by his daughter, Debora Nation; son, Chris Crittendon (Benita); grandson, Scott Nation (Shannon); granddaughters, Christina's Rehberg, Lindsey Strickland (Jason) and Katie Crittendon and 11 great grandkids, Kailey, Cristin, Kayden, Collin, Taylor, Shaelee, Saige, James, Lane, Ryann and Mariah; and 1 great great grandchild, Bentley. He is also survived by 2 dear cousins, Kenny Glasscock and Cathy Bible; a special sister-in-law, Marilyn Carr and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at 10 am in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9-10 am prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers are Charlie Justice, Harold Bazzel, Rex Floyd, Royal Murphy, Jackie Shores, Steve Crooks, Ronnie Weathersby and Bobby Strausbaugh .

Pallbearers are Scott Nation, David Carr, Adam Carr, Jason Strickland, Collin Miller, and Chris Crittendon.
