Gregory Thomas Simpson, 73, of Lynn Haven, passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022.  He was born December 7, 1948 in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.  He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.  He was a retired purchasing agent for Encompass Health.  He was preceded in death by son, Eric Gregory Simpson; father, Thomas Edward Simpson; mother, Claire Cecile Carr Simpson; brother Thomas Simpson; and a sister, Claire Ann Simpson.  He is survived by his wife, Donna J. Simpson; two children, Amy Caroline Hudson (Andy) and Adam Gregory Simpson; three grandchildren, Sarah Nicole Hardy (Ryan), Molly Shawna Griffin (James) and Angela Marie Shank; three great grandchildren, Clayton Anthony Mauldin, Haven Ann Mauldin and Hudson Lee Hardy; and three sisters, Gail Fisher (Daniel), Coleen Fisk (Edward) and Dorothy Lanioe. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at 5 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-5 p.m. prior to the service.  Graveside services will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022 at 11 a.m. Eastern time in the Tallahassee National Cemetery, Tallahassee, FL. Those desiring may make memorial donations to American Legion Post 356 in memory of Gregory Simpson.
