Grace Ida Lewis, 84, of Lynn Haven, FL passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2021. She was born on January 14, 1937 in Great Bend, Kansas to William and Dora Bauer.
Grace worked as a Secretary for the Internal Revenue Service. She was an active member of the Village Church of St. Andrews (formerly known as St. Andrew Presbyterian Church) and The Taking Off Pounds Sensibly (TOPS) organization.
Grace loved her family (including grand pups) and friends with all her heart. She enjoyed socializing, crafts, swimming, playing card games, listening to Elvis Presley songs, technology, watching fireworks and sunsets. She was adventurous and liked to try new things such as Tai Chi and line dancing. Grace had a sweet spirit, a warm smile and a contagious laugh. Grace was our "walking sunshine."
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Lewis; one son, Scott Lewis; her parents; one brother, William "Sonny" Bauer and one sister, Judy Pratt. Grace is survived by one sister, Louise McCord; and three children, Bill Lewis (Roxanna), Sheree Lewis (Sherrie), and Kim Teer (Bob); one grandson, Raymond Lewis; and one great granddaughter, Kierra Lewis.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 3 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Panama City, Florida with Rev. Dr. Morris Denman officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-3 pm prior to the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests that you plant a tree in Florida at www.thegiftedtree.com or www.treegivers.com in memory of Grace Lewis.
